A final decision on payment to Nigerian employees of the proposed national minimum wage has been made by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
The FEC chaired the new minimum wage on or before 31 December 2019, by Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Vice President, on Wednesday guided Finance Minister Zainab Ahmed.
At the conclusion of the FEC’s meeting in the Abuja Presidential Villa, Labor Minister Chris Ngige announced this.
In addition, FEC has approved the procurement and install of communications equipment for the towers of Zaria and Katsina, according to Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika.
The equipment he said, “was built to provide airport security and performance.” The project was done for eight months, he said.
He said it would be guided by the private sector.
Communication Minister FEC said that the Federal Ministry of Communications, Digital Economy, accepted the switch in the title of the Department.
